Is this real?  I need confirmation.

SI Vault says Shaq left this for Dream after Houston swept the Magic out of the Finals.

Can anyone corroborate this?

This may be a real note, or it may have been hype for the subsequent Shaq-Hakeem one-on-one showdown in 1995. There were plans for a ten-city tour, before it was reduced to one pay-per-view exhibition in September.  I believe Hakeem ultimately pulled out due to a sore back, but the event was also going to feature a Kenny Anderson-Nick Van Exel battle, as well as Joe Smith vs. Kevin Garnett.  All in Atlantic City, with Chick Hearn, Billy Packer, and Bill Walton announcing.

The mid-90s NBA was a lot weirder than it is now.

Are we sure this wasn’t about the soft taco vs hard taco rivalry that yielded the double decker from taco bell?
