More Fantasy Baseball
Ok minor rant:
Though I’m totally fine with the 4 year cycle, I i don’t see why we’re planning for a contingency that probably won’t happen (a potential dynasty by a team that tanks) when we already have a current dynasty that no one’s doing anything to limit (Randy’s won 2 of the last 3 years, and is in 1st right now).
It seems as if you’re sending the message that one is legitimate (randy is better at fantasy than us, true) and one is cheaply earned (ie it’s easy to tank).
a) Tanking [“long term planning”, as I call it] was an option available to all
b) There’s absolutely no guarantee of future success
c) It takes hard work to succeed with this strategy, just of a different kind. I comb the minor league stats regularly, I read as much as I ever do to prepare, only just about prospects, and I’m still not sure how high my hit rate will be.
Unless this leads to me threepeating, it’s probably a moo point.
